The application could not be copied to the user profile (code 41)
The window of the starter says: „The application could not be copied to your user profile.“ Below it stands the error code 41; the diagnostic details (Alt+D) hold the technical detail, also the output of Wkl.Bootstrapper.exe /diagnose. The exit code of the starter is 41.
Environment
WKL Bootstrapper 1.0 and later on Windows 11. Supported: Windows 11 with Microsoft Access of Microsoft 365, 32 bit.
Cause
Placing the copy in %LOCALAPPDATA%\WKL\<Product>\Frontends failed: the disk is full, the profile is not writable, or a second start of the same application was still placing it after two minutes.
Resolution
- Free disk space and start again.
- If an older copy is held open by Access, the new version is placed beside it; close the application and start again.
