The version of the application is damaged or incomplete (code 42)

The window of the starter says: „The version in the application's folder is incomplete or damaged; nothing was changed on this computer.“ Below it stands the error code 42; the diagnostic details (Alt+D) hold the technical detail, also the output of Wkl.Bootstrapper.exe /diagnose. The exit code of the starter is 42.

WKL Bootstrapper 1.0 and later on Windows 11. Supported: Windows 11 with Microsoft Access of Microsoft 365, 32 bit.

The copy does not match the size or SHA-256 that app-manifest.json records: the file in the source was changed after it was built, or the copy over the network was cut off. The starter never starts such a copy.

1. Start again; a cut-off copy is replaced.
2. If it persists, the delivery is inconsistent: build and deliver again, so the database and its app-manifest.json belong together.
