The control's events are missing from the Event tab

The property sheet's Event tab of a WKL control shows only On Updated, On Enter, On Exit, On Got Focus, and On Lost Focus; the control's own events (NodeSelect of WklTreeView, ValidateCell of WklGrid, Click of WklButton, and so on) aren't listed.

Environment

Microsoft 365 Access, all versions of the WKL controls; the same applies to every ActiveX control, including Microsoft's own.

Cause

Access lists only the five events of its control container for ActiveX controls. A control has no interface to add its own events to this tab. The events exist and reach the form module; only the property sheet doesn't show them.

Resolution

Create the procedures with the object and procedure lists of the code window (every control) or, for WklTreeView, WklTreeList, WklGantt, WklGrid, and WklPropertyGrid, with the designer's Events page (the EventProcedures row in the property sheet, [...]) (how-to). If a procedure exists but doesn't run, see An event procedure is never called.
