The build cannot replace the database

Symptom: build or rebuild ends with exit code 5 and “The database is open (in Access or another program), so the new build could not replace it”, or names a file in .building that is still open.

All versions of the WKL Office SDK, all configurations.

The build makes the new database in build/<configuration>/.building/ and replaces the previous result only at the end. Windows does not let it replace a file another program holds: the database is open in Access, or a virus scanner or backup reads it at that moment. A file in .building is still held by a program of an earlier, aborted build.

1. Close the database in Access (or wait for the scanner), then build again. The new database of the failed run is in .building and can be used as it is.
2. To keep working in Access while building, use import --changed to load source changes into the open database instead of rebuilding it.
