Keyboard shortcuts of the Access add-in

Every command of the add-in can be reached without the mouse: through the key tips of the ribbon tab WKL SDK, and in the work area through the tab keys of Windows.

Ribbon (key tips)

Press Alt, then W, K for the tab WKL SDK, then the letter of the command. The key tips are fixed, so they stay the same whatever other add-ins are loaded; Access itself uses other letters for its tabs (German Access: R, L, E, O, Y).

In an open menu, Up and Down move between the entries and Enter chooses one, as in every Office menu.

Work area

F6, Shift+F6	Move between the areas of Access; the work area is one of them, as a task pane of Office is.
Ctrl+Tab, Ctrl+PageDown	Next tab (Project, Output, Problems, Changes, Terminal), wherever the focus is in the work area.
Ctrl+Shift+Tab, Ctrl+PageUp	Previous tab.
Tab, Shift+Tab	Move between the bar of the tab and its content; the bar comes first.
Left, Right (in a bar)	Move between the commands of the bar.
Enter, Space (in a bar)	Run the command; its name is its tool tip.

The commands of the bars carry no Alt access keys: Access takes Alt for the key tips of the ribbon, so Alt+letter in the work area runs no command of a bar. Use the key tips above or Tab into the bar.

Commit dialog

Keys	Action
Ctrl+Enter	Commit (when a message is entered and at least one file is selected).
Esc	Cancel.
Tab, Shift+Tab	Move between message, links, list and buttons.
Space (in the list)	Select or clear the file.

Difference window

Keys	Action
F7	Next change.
Shift+F7	Previous change.
Alt+W, Alt+D, Alt+C	Whole file, Design, Code (forms and reports).
Esc	Close the window.

Output window (only without a work area)
