You want a repository's source as files, without installing Git and without setting up an account.

Every repository screen offers an archive download of the revision shown, under Dieses Repository beziehen. The download needs the same permission as cloning; for a public repository the bare call is enough.

1. Open Repositories and choose the repository you want.
2. Where needed, pick the revision through Branches or Tags at the top.
3. Expand Dieses Repository beziehen.
4. Click Als ZIP herunterladen.

Three steps where the default revision is enough: open the repository, expand the section, download.

The file carries namespace and revision in its name, so several copies stay distinguishable side by side — for the repository wkdoadogit on main, for instance code-dokuwiki-plugins-wkdoadogit-main.zip.

The archive holds the revision of the branch or tag named in the screen's header — not necessarily the default branch.

Where the section Dieses Repository beziehen does not appear, your account lacks the permission to obtain. A repository can be readable in the wiki and still not downloadable; those are two different levels.

An archive is a snapshot without version history. Somebody who needs the history or later updates clones instead of downloading.

Two failure pictures with different causes. Where the download answers forbidden, you lack the permission. Where it answers archive unavailable, you have it — the source system then did not deliver, and the cause lies with the connection and not with your account. The second is worth a retry, the first is not.
