2.7 Practical Example

Scenario: A motor is dismantled from equipment and sent for repair. A replacement motor is connected to this equipment from the Warehouse.

Moving Motor (Warehouse → Equipment)

  1. Tab Site/Plant Selection → Select the current Site/Plant
  2. Tab Menu → Click Motor Data button
  3. Click Edit/Mount button
  4. Click Motor Mounting button (Symbol A→B)
  5. In the upper Equipment table, search for the equipment number in the extEquipNr column
  6. Select the row with the mouse (row is highlighted in black)
  7. Click decouple Motor button
  8. In the header, select motor warehouse Workshop (Motor Warehouse Workshop table -Status W- opens below)
  9. In the lower table, select the first row of the Motor Warehouse with the mouse
  10. Click Insert Motor(s) button
Answer No to the prompt asking whether Power Distribution circuit data should be deleted!
  1. In the header, select motor warehouse General (all warehouse motors -Status L-)
  2. In the lower table, select the INVENTNR column
  3. Open search mode (Ctrl+F)
  4. Enter the Inventory Number of the new motor and confirm with Enter
  5. Close the search window
  6. Click decouple Motor button
  7. In the upper table, search for the equipment number
  8. Select the row
  9. Click Insert Motor(s) button
  10. Click Close Form button (Symbol: Door)

Update Reference File

  1. Tab Site/Plant Selection → Select the current Site/Plant
  2. Tab Menu → Click Motor Data button
  3. Click Search/Reference button
  4. Click Set Reference Motor button (Symbol: =…)
  5. In the INVENTNR column, search for the Inventory Number of the newly installed motor
If there is only one equipment number in the extEquipNr column → continue with the next step. If there are multiple equipment numbers, note them all (except the current one).
  1. Click Mode button
  2. In the extEquipNr column, search for the first noted equipment number
  3. In the INVENTNR column, select the new Inventory Number
  4. Enter the Inventory Number of the removed motor and confirm with Enter
  5. Repeat the process with the other noted equipment numbers
  6. Click Close Form button
  7. Exit the MOTORMASTER page

Update Power Distribution Allocation List

  1. Compare all data from the new motor documentation sheet with the entry in the Power Distribution Allocation List
  2. Transfer new measured values
  3. Activate inspection (check the checkbox and verify current date)
