2.2 Motor Function
Creating New Motors
- In the Motor Master form, create a new form using the >* button in the record navigator
- New entry starts with the Inventory Number (uniqueness check is performed automatically)
- Select the motor type via the „Motor Group„ dropdown
- Use the Tab key to jump to the next field
Depending on the motor type, motor-specific fields appear in the detail section.
For new entries, the motor is placed at the Warehouse location by default. The extended equipment number for the warehouse location is 950000 by default.
After entering the new motor, it is necessary to link the motor from the warehouse location to the equipment. The Recoupling function (A→B) is used for this purpose.
Deleting Motors
Motor deletion can only be performed in status V (extended equipment number 990000)!
- Motors with status „V“ can be permanently removed from the database using the delete button in the form header
- Recovery from the current data server state is no longer possible
- Only Electrical I&C users have deletion rights
Motor Position Changes
Changes to motor positions are made via the “Motor Mounting“ (A→B) function.
Single Motor Recoupling
- Select the record
- Click the „decouple Motor“ button
- Switch to the new equipment
- Click the „insert/couple Motor“ button
For transferring motors from one Site/Plant to another, it is necessary to set the motor to „Status Unknown„ status (equipment number 980000). This makes the motor available for general access.
Recoupling Multiple Motors
- Select the entire record or multiple records (entire row highlighted in black)
- For multiple motors: „Right-click → Copy“ (not Cut!)
- Move the cursor to the equipment where the motor should be attached → select the entire row
- Click the „Insert Motors“ button
When decoupling, a prompt appears asking whether the Power Distribution circuit data should be deleted. If confirmed with No, the Power Distribution allocation data is retained.
Multiple motors can be attached to one piece of equipment. The Power Distribution number is the number of the electrical connection at the equipment (e.g., 1st motor, 2nd motor, 3rd light for workstation at the motor).
