PIMS = Plant Information Management System
This documentation describes a legacy CAFM/PIMS system (Computer Aided Facility Management / Plant Information Management System) originally developed as „AMED“ (Apparate, Motoren, Electrical I&C Datenbank) for managing technical assets, motors, and I&C (Instrumentation & Control) data.
The term „Assets“ encompasses general inventory or technical objects of a plant.
