===== What is a Certificate? =====

A digital ID that identifies you to the server. Like an electronic ID card.

===== Obtaining a Certificate =====

  - Contact IT department
  - Submit certificate request
  - Receive certificate file (.pfx)
  - Receive password separately

===== Install Certificate =====

**Windows:**
  - Double-click on .pfx file
  - Enter password
  - Choose "Current User"
  - Finish

===== Verify Certificate =====

  - Windows key + R
  - Enter ''certmgr.msc''
  - Under "Personal" -> "Certificates"
  - Your certificate should appear there
