For database usage by different {{wvds:i18n>pims_site}}s, a security structure with different user accounts has been set up.

The security structure is managed with the auxiliary database **"Security.mdb"**.

===== Reading Current Status =====

  - Function **{{wvds:i18n>pims_admin}}/{{wvds:i18n>pims_user_mgmt}}** → "Export Security.mdb and Start"
  - View the status in the newly opened Access database

===== Making Changes =====

**Adding new users:**
  - Add a new {{wvds:i18n>pims_record}} in the security structure list

**Assigning group:**
  - Make {{wvds:i18n>pims_site}} assignment
  - Assign {{wvds:i18n>pims_motor}} ownership {{wvds:i18n>pims_permissions}}

**Activation:**
  - AMED function "{{wvds:i18n>pims_admin}} → {{wvds:i18n>pims_user_mgmt}} → Import and Overwrite"

<note tip>
It is recommended to create a **{{wvds:i18n>pims_backup}}** of the "security.mdb" file. This allows an old structure to be reactivated if needed.
