====== 1. Asset Function ====== {{wvds:title>01 Assets (Equipment)}} The **Asset Function** (historically: Equipment Function) represents the source document in the input flow. It contains the technical information of **technical objects** (assets) of a plant. In the "Asset Group" functionality, the group designation, site assignment, and SAP number are defined. **Location Concept:** - **Physical Location:** Building, floor, room – where is the object located spatially? - **Logical Location (Process Unit):** P&I diagram, operating unit (OU) – how is the object integrated in the process? Only after an asset has been created can motors and measuring points be assigned. Deletion of assets with assigned motors and measuring points is not possible. Before deleting assets, motors and measuring points must be removed. {{wvds:image>pims:image2.png|width=100%|alt=Asset Function Form}} ===== Field Definitions ===== When entering asset data, the following field definitions must be considered. ==== Site Fields ==== ^ Field ^ Description ^ | **Asset No.** | Asset numbers have a space between letter and number. | | **P&I** | The number of the as-built P&I diagram of the site. | | **OU** | The operating unit number can be found in the licensing flow diagrams. | | **Asset Status** | Values: 1="in operation", 2="in planning", 3="decommissioned", 4="not yet realized" | | **Content inside/outside** | Volume specification in liters. | | **VFA** | If the volume is a VFA specification, the field contains "yes". | | **Intake Volume** | Flow rate in m³/h. | | **PermOpPressure inside/outside** | Permissible operating pressure (design pressure) in bar. | | **Pressure Surge Resistant** | empty=normal pressure, 1="psr = X bar", 2="corresponds to psr = X bar" | | **MaxWorkPressure inside/outside** | Pressure during normal operation in bar. Range "X to Y" possible. | | **Relief Valve Pressure** | Relief valve response pressure in bar. | | **Zero Delivery Head** | Zero delivery head of pumps against closed valves in bar. | | **PermOpTemp inside/outside** | Permissible operating temperature in °C. | | **MaxWorkTemp inside/outside** | Temperature during normal operation in °C. Range "X to Y" possible. | | **Main Material** | Multiple main materials separated by "/". | | **Speed** | In min⁻¹. Multiple speeds separated by comma. | | **Filter Area** | In m². | | **Heat Exchange Area** | In m². | | **Fill Level** | Value range 0.001 to 1. | | **SB Side** | "I" or "O" to identify the volume for holdup calculation. | ==== Safety Analysis ==== ^ Field ^ Description ^ | **Asset Name T4** | Designations for Tab. 4 according to SIA conventions. | | **Safety Ref. AT** | Three or four digit number (section number in Tab. 5) for "SB" assets. | | **Material Flow No. liquid** | Material flow number of liquid asset content. | | **Material Flow No. gas** | Material flow number of gaseous asset content. | The **PD-active** checkbox in the Asset Data function is necessary to distinguish electrical and mechanical assets. If an asset's checkbox is activated, this asset appears in the PD output list. No entries are possible in the fields: Asset Name T4, Safety Ref. AT, Material Flow No. liquid, Material Flow No. gas. These entries are made during the safety analysis. ===== Navigation ===== Pre-selections can be made via the list field on the right. Double-click on the record to select. In the **Inventory Number** field, the motors assigned to the asset can be identified. Assignment of motors to an asset is done in the "Motors" function via the reassignment function (A →B). ---- * [[.:01-groups|1.1 Asset Groups →]] * [[.:02-search|1.2 Search Asset Data →]]
